The USPTO has decided to extend both the After-Final Consideration Pilot 2.0 (AFCP2.0) program and the Quick Path IDS program (QPIDS) through the end of September 2018. These programs are part of the USPTO’s on-going efforts towards compact prosecution, increased collaboration between examiners and stakeholders, and pendency reduction. We have found both programs to be valuable tools in advancing prosecution and offering insightful conversations with Patent Examiners.
