Michael Sarney focuses his practice on litigating patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret actions in Federal Courts throughout the United States. Michael’s litigation experience and expertise includes patent appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, arbitration, and mediation. He also specializes in trademark registration, prosecution, clearance, and counseling for both large and small businesses, as well as in prosecuting and defending trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Michael also assists clients with patent, trademark, and copyright licensing, other technology-related agreements, trademark consent and co-existence agreements, and IP litigation settlement agreements. Michael’s experience has spanned more than 30 years at both large and mid-sized general law firms, and specialized intellectual property firms.
